Learn the latest upholstery techniques including hands-on training with the tools of the trade. This course is designed to prepare vocational trainees to perform various technical skills in all phases of the upholstery industry, including basic power sewing.
If you enjoy a challenge, like working with your hands and meeting new people, then, this is a class you will really enjoy. Bring your talent and design ideas, along with that old piece of furniture to class. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish in a few short weeks.

NEW! Introduction to Upholstery
This beginner-level course introduces students to the essential world of furniture restoration with a focus on building professional-grade foundational skills. Participants will master both hand sewing and machine sewing techniques through hands-on practice with heavy-duty textiles. To ensure a structured learning environment, the curriculum features teacher-directed projects specifically designed to tackle common upholstery challenges.
Please note that to maintain the pace of instruction, students are not able to bring in their own personal projects for this class.

Program Information
Two (2) eight-week sessions held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Learn upholstery techniques for a Vocational Certificate or discuss special projects with the instructor. This course is designed to prepare vocational trainees to perform various technical skills in all phases of the upholstery industry.
A vocational certificate is issued upon successful completion of this course which includes instruction in:
• Anchoring & Springs
• Reupholstery & Furniture Construction
• Fabric Types & Layouts
• Frames & Padding
• Cushion Assembly
• Upholstery Skirts & Fittings
Special Projects
Special projects may include, but are not limited to: bedspreads, duvets, pillow shams, slipcovers, table cloths, napkins, place mats, patio cushions, patio umbrellas, and pet pillows. Experience the joy, pride, and satisfaction in completing beautiful, useful and creative projects.
