Related Science (Health & Safety) - Prerequisite
Related Science (Health & Safety) is a PREREQUISITE course for all Barber, Cosmetologist, Esthetician and Manicurist students.
ONLINE, SELF-PACED COURSE.
Related Science (Health & Safety) is a REQUIRED online, week-long course that all students must take prior to beginning core classes (Barber, Cosmetologist, Esthetician, Manicurist). This course is conducted in Google Classroom and assignments are due daily.
Related Science is a training program that covers health, and safety hazards, as well as challenges faced by beauty professionals in the workplace. It is a mandatory course required by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. This course will provide students with a better understanding of the knowledge, skills, and training needed to succeed in the Barbering and Beauty industry.
Fees
The $55 fee for the Related Science (Health & Safety) prerequisite is included in Level 1 core class tuition. The fee structure for Level 1 core classes will be as follows:
Barber - Level 1: $1,905
Cosmetologist - Level 1: $1,905
Esthetician - Level 1: $1,605
Manicurist - Level 1: $1,105
We now offer an optional in-person tutorial session on the first day of class that covers the basics of navigating Google Classroom.
Online Class
Related Science (Health & Safety) is the only Cosmetology program course conducted online.
Barber, Cosmetologist, Esthetician, and Manicurist core classes are conducted IN-PERSON ONLY.
