About Our Cosmetology Program
Our 1,000-Hour Cosmetologist Certificate Program teaches the fundamentals of hair care, skin care, and nail care. Students will complete a series of courses in hairstyling, hair cutting, hair coloring, permanent waving, make-up, facials, manicuring, and pedicuring. Students will also learn basic business and salon management skills. Advanced students will perform a variety of hair, skin, and nail services in our full-service on-site salon. All of our students are provided with a course schedule that allows them to efficiently complete all operations and hour requirements set forth by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. To complete the Cosmetology Certificate program, new students must complete 3 course levels, a minimum of 1,000 hours and all required practical operations.*

Prerequisite: Related Science (Health & Safety). Students must have high school diploma or equivalency, OR be 18 years and older.
Summer 2026 - Daytime
The $55 fee for the Related Science Health & Safety prerequisite is included in Level 1 core class tuition.
Related Science Health & Safety is a REQUIRED week-long, self-paced online course that must be successfully completed prior to beginning any core class (Barber, Cosmetologist, Esthetician, Manicurist). We now offer an optional in-person tutorial session on the first day of class that covers the basics of navigating Google Classroom.

Kit & Supplies Pick-Up Event
Kit pick-up is always held the first day of the session.
Students are required to pick up kits and supplies in Room 108 at the time assigned to their level.
Please Note: No additional pick-up dates will be scheduled. Failure to retrieve your kit could result in non-participation for the term.
