What does "open-entry" mean?
Many of programs, including Machine Technology and Welding (pending wait list), offer open-entry enrollment to allow students to begin a program at any time, not just during our Spring, Summer, and Fall registration periods.
Open-entry also means that students are able to move at their own pace. With a competency-based approach to learning, students can accelerate their path to earning certificates based on the number of hours they spend in class every week.
This style of enrollment is often ideal for those who work full-time, take care of children, or simply need flexibility in their schedule.
Please note that you will need to obtain a registration form for open-entry programs before coming to the Business Office (Room 301):
- Machine Technology - Room 606
- Welding - Counseling Office, Room 402 (pending wait list)

Once the application period closes, we will not accept any additional applicants until the next calendar year.
